Left: Dharriwaa Elders Lewis Beale, Margaret Rose and Tim Creighton at Yetta Dhinnakal, the corrections facility where Dharriwaa Elders are invited to sit on their community consultative committee. Right: Some of the Dharriwaa Elders who hosted dinner at the Walgett RSL to greet the young people re-tracing the 1965 "Freedom Ride" - when a group of activists travelled to the towns of north-west NSW and exposed racism. The symbolism was unavoidable as the RSL Club was the scene of protest in 1965 for barring membership to Aboriginal people including ex-servicemen and women.
