A rare gumbulgaban - (Ardeotis australis Australian Bustard) was spotted at Dharriwaa (Narran Lakes) in October. This may be the same individual we saw 2 weeks ago
approx. 20kms away from this location (near the Grawin). It could be the same one we saw 50kms from here a few weeks earlier (pictured at Gingie). Or are there suddenly more gumbulgaban in North West NSW now? DEG would like to be funded to support breeding and protection of this vulnerable species where we know it has been so prolific in past.
